What it's about

Normally you have to send messages yourself at the right time in the Telegram app. Not anymore with Toolidol. You add a bot to your chat or channel once and give it the permissions it needs to post. After that you send text, images and videos from the same calendar you also use for Instagram and Facebook. Messages can also be sent silently or pinned if they should stay on top.

Connect the bot to your chat or channel, choose text, image or video, then decide whether the message should be sent silently, pinned or specially formatted. Finally, publish or schedule for later.

A bot is an automated Telegram account. Toolidol sends your messages through it.

Text, image and video on Telegram

Send a text update, a photo or a video with caption and hashtags to your connected chat or channel.

Send without sound

Publish a message without your subscribers receiving a notification. Handy for updates late in the evening or when not everyone needs to be pinged right away.

Pin in the channel

If you pin a message after publishing, it stays visible at the top of the channel. Handy for important announcements, links or the one post nobody should miss.

Markdown or HTML

Choose between Markdown, HTML or plain text to format your message. With Markdown you write a word between two asterisks, for example, with HTML you put it between <b> and </b> so that it appears bold. Telegram then shows your message exactly as you wrote it.

Telegram and other networks at the same time

Simply select several platforms at once when scheduling, for example Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn or Threads. Your message is then published everywhere automatically.

Good to know Limitations on Telegram

These limits currently apply to the interface bots use to send on Telegram (Telegram Bot API).

Bot permissions. The bot must be allowed to post in the chat or channel. In channels it has to be an admin with the right to post. To pin, it needs the right to pin. If the permissions are missing, sending or pinning fails.
What Toolidol sends. Text, a photo or a video. No Reels. No Stories from Toolidol.
Stories on Telegram itself. Stories from a personal Telegram account require Telegram Premium. Channel Stories usually require boosts. Through the bot interface, Stories can only be posted for a connected Telegram Business account that has the right to manage Stories (can_manage_stories). This flow is not available in Toolidol.
Length. Text messages may have up to 4,096 characters. Captions under images or videos typically 1,024 characters.
File size. Through the bot, videos typically go up to about 50 MB. Larger files that work in the Telegram app can fail through the bot.
Markdown formatting is strict. With the MarkdownV2 variant of Markdown, certain special characters have to be marked separately. If this marking is missing, sending can fail. In that case, switch to plain text.
No Telegram analytics in Toolidol.

What can I publish on Telegram with Toolidol?

Text, a single image or a single video to a connected chat or channel. Reels and Stories are not Telegram formats in Toolidol.

Can I send a message without sound through Toolidol?

Yes, just like directly in Telegram, you can select "Send without sound". Your subscribers will then not be notified.

Can I pin the post in the channel?

Yes. Enable pinning in the editor. Toolidol pins the message after publishing.

Can I use Markdown or HTML?

Yes. You choose Markdown, HTML or plain text as the formatting type.

Does Toolidol import Telegram analytics?

Not yet. Instagram and Threads insights are already imported. Telegram has no analytics import in this version.

Can I publish Telegram Stories from Toolidol?

No. Toolidol sends text, photos and videos to the chat or channel. Stories from a personal Telegram account require Telegram Premium in Telegram itself. Channel Stories usually require boosts. Toolidol does not post Stories.
