What it's about

Normally you have to open the Threads app separately to post and to respond to replies. Not anymore with Toolidol. When you first connect, you sign in to Threads once to confirm the connection. After that you send your post out from Toolidol and see the replies right there too, without switching in between.

Here’s how it works

Write a post, optionally add an image or video, then publish or schedule for later. As soon as the post is live, you see the replies right there and can answer from Toolidol.

Schedule Threads text, images and videos

Choose a text, a photo or a video and publish immediately or schedule for later. You can adapt caption and hashtags for each platform individually, just like with all other networks in Toolidol.

See when you are mentioned

You see all mentions of your Threads account right in the account overview. You do not have to open the Threads app separately for that.

Reply without leaving the post

For every published post, Toolidol shows you the replies. You write your answer, send it, done. Transferring it to Threads can take a moment, but you see exactly when your answer has arrived.

Hide replies you do not want shown

In the same replies area you can hide or unhide individual replies, as far as Threads allows this moderation.

Threads insights

Followers, likes, replies and views for your account, plus individual numbers for every post. You find everything in the same dashboard as your Instagram numbers.

Threads and other networks at the same time

Simply select several platforms at once when scheduling, for example Threads, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn or Telegram. Your post is then published everywhere automatically.

Good to know Limitations on Threads

These limits currently apply to the interface Toolidol uses to access Threads (Threads API).

500 characters for the post text. Technically, emojis count as several characters (UTF-8 bytes). A text with many emojis therefore fills up faster.
At most 5 different links per post. With more links, the post already fails when it is created.
Volumes per day. Through the interface, the following are possible in any 24-hour period: 250 posts, 1,000 replies and 100 deletions.
Images. JPEG or PNG, at most 8 MB, at least 320 pixels wide, aspect ratio up to 10:1.
Video. MOV or MP4, at most 5 minutes long and at most 1 GB in size.
One image or video in Toolidol. Threads allows carousels with 2 to 20 items. Toolidol does not build carousels or multi-part threads.
Replies. You can hide replies, as far as Threads allows it. Your own reply cannot be hidden. Direct messages (DMs) are not possible through the Threads interface.
Statistics. For insights, the Threads insights permission is required. Some details about the makeup of your followers (demographics) are only shown by Threads from a certain follower count.
